“Embody the Truth, Not your Myth”

To some extent we all live out our myth. the frame of reference we adapted in our childhood and the genetic code we inherited from our ancestors. The horoscope reveals this myth, the thinker “I” “me” or “self” that determines our destiny. All Vedic Life sciences including, Yoga and Vedic Astrology, were created not to embody, but to be liberated from our myth. Jung referred to this as psychological maturation, so our true personality can emerge. Joseph Campbell saw this innate human struggle as the basis of a broad spectrum of myths and stories throughout cultures and history, which he called the monomyth.

Most healing modalities, including the monomyth, suggest a chronology of stages. In Vedic Astrology healing is not sequential, we can stay in one stage for decades, or totally skip some of the stages. In this lecture, Renu will use the template of Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey and the ancient Vedic algorithms of the 120-year planetary cycles of the Vimshottari Dasha system to see how the storyline of each unique horoscope unfolds decade by decade, year by year and month by month. We will also learn how the planets reveal our super powers, as well as our kryptonite and translate to the characters dragons, villains and mentors we encounter on our journey.

Renu has dedicated the last twenty years of her life to the study and practice of the Vedic Sciences: Jyotish (Vedic Astrology), Ayurveda, Yoga, Meditation and Mantra.
