“You say you want a revolution?
Welcome Uranus in Aries!”
This month the revolutionary planet Uranus enters the fiery sign Aries for an eight-year sojourn. Uranus in Aries doesn’t sit on the sidelines; it demands change and takes action NOW. This placement suggests pioneering scientific breakthroughs, sudden and spontaneous deeds aimed at seizing individual freedoms, and the urge to act from one’s authentic self.
Uranus enters Aries May 28, 2010, and (after a few months retrograde back into Pisces later this year) stays until May 15, 2018. The last time Uranus visited the sign of the Ram was 1927-1935, an era that saw the Great Depression and the New Deal. What will the coming transit bring to the world stage this time around?
The Astrological Society of Austin will host an open forum for astrologers and students of astrology to discuss this major celestial event. Donna Woodwell will give a brief introductory lecture on the discovery and use of Uranus by astrologers. All opinions and questions are welcome!
